EALING FARMERS MARKET IS 15 YEARS OLD!

21 September 2016

Come and celebrate with London Farmers Market on Saturday 24th September 9am-1pm Can you believe London Farmers Market is 15 years old? Ealing Farmers Market has been trading on Leeland Road in West Ealing since 2001.

 On the opening day, chef Brian Turner came to the market to do a cooking demo, ably assisted by some local children.

This Saturday we’re welcoming Samuel Hurst ‘The Peoples Magician’ to entertain customers and stall holders alike and there will be anniversary cake to share.

 Local resident Rosie Pearce has been managing the market since the beginning. She said;

‘’I am so happy that the Market has thrived for 15 years. It has become a long standing place to shop in West Ealing, when other businesses have come and gone the Market has grown. Attracting people from all walks of life as the Market has something for everyone.

As well as managing the Market since the beginning, I have bought my food there and brought my children up on it too. Coming to market on a Saturday has become part of family life.’

Producers have seen Rosies children grow up, she been part of changes in customers and producers lives which has made the job very special. Dogs seem to like coming to market too..

(Is that anything to do with sausages?

Rosie said;

‘I have been so touched by customers feedback about the market.

People come to me to say goodbye when they move house telling me how much they will miss the market. A couple recently told me that they didn’t want to move out of the area because of the market and were thrilled to find somewhere to live locally because of us !

The loyalty of customers is so special and has kept us going for so long.

I want to thank our fantastic customers for their loyalty.
