Elizabeth Line signage roll out – coming soon!

23 January 2018

First Crossrail stations have the new Elizabeth Line roundel installed.

Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon and the newly reopened Custom House station are the first stations on the Elizabeth Line to have their signage installed.

At a BID engagement meeting last week TFL confirmed that services from Heathrow to Paddington would commence in May this year and that works to the new West Ealing station frontage were on schedule to be completed by the end of 2019, with the Central London service in place from December this year and the full service the following year.

The Elizabeth Line services will run through West Ealing using new air-conditioned walk-through carriages with capacity for 1,500 customers, Wif-Fi and 4G and will be fully wheelchair accessible.

The BID has been speaking to the Council regarding plans for improvements to Manor Road once the new station frontage is open and will share plans in the near future.

In addition, working on West Ealing’s identity as a destination, the BID is speaking with Network Rail regarding improvements to the West Ealing Station bridge including possibility of a mural or street art to make the area welcoming to visitors and add vibrancy.
