West Ealing Station Works, August – October 2015

12 August 2015

Crossrail – West Ealing Station Works are due to start in August – October 2015. Network Rail is undertaking works in your area on behalf of Crossrail, the new railway linking Reading and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east, via new tunnels under central London.

Crossrail would like to let you know they are about to commence the next stage of works including the excavation of the old bay platform. Works along Platform 3 including the construction of new ducts and bases are also about to begin. While they will continue to do as much work as they can during the day, those elements of work which are close to the tracks and the overhead electric lines will need to be undertaken at night or at weekends when the trains are not running nearby.

In such cases the work will primarily take place between the hours of 21.00 – 09.00 Saturday to Thursday. Bay Line excavation works are due to continue until the end of August and ducting work will continue throughout the autumn. Crossrail contractor has worked closely with the London Borough of Ealing to secure appropriate consents for the works to proceed. Crossrail would like to apologise for any disruption this work may cause and will endeavour to minimise the impact on local residents and station users.

Those working on site will be briefed on their obligations to work considerately.
